The filmmakers were unable to get permission from the South Korean government to film in the actual hospital, so the movie’s scenes set in Gonjiam were actually shot at Busan National Maritime High School, where the production crew closely followed the hospital’s floorplan to keep the exact same exterior and hallways create it.
