In The Day of the Jackal (1973), The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier model.. Referenced in Graham Norton i gosti: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). Eddie Redmayne is perfect for the role.
However, this cop lady is dreadful
Reminds me of of Lizzie for the Blacklist. You can't sympathize with her or root for her she's one dimensional and has no redeeming qualities as the one that you should root for. I would have much preferred the talents of Chukwudi Iwuji he is wasted on this show & is so much more of a versatile actor than Lashana Linch.
Is it wrong to be rooting for the Jackal?
Don't mean to be harsh but nothing about her works in this drama and much like Lizzie from Blacklist they would be wise to terminate her character and bring in a more capable actor. The snooping wife and her family also drags the show down a bit much. Maybe it's my pessimistic nature that keeps me expecting a letdown.
Either way I will stick with this and hope for the best
Maybe the writers can bring in a worthy adversary for the Jackal.
