Plot
In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler is given a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited, with tectonic consequences for her marriage and political future. Producers have convinced both the US and British governments to allow them to use real-life locations to film the series, including the recently opened US Embassy (in Nine Elms) in 2018. Britain allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, a rare honor for any film or screen production, especially an American one.

Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential area in London (11 hectares), in addition to Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming. The characters are phenomenally written and each of them is a mystery to some extent. Their dialogues are dynamic and engaging, and the story continues to evolve in a chaotic political direction.
It was similar to “Night Agent”, but much better
It doesn’t have the strong tone of other similar shows. I’d like to liken it a bit to House of Cards, but it doesn’t fit the description. It has a touch of “Descendants” in it, but again, it doesn’t really fit.
He is good at his job, so no one pays attention to his manners
I see reviews complaining about the main character, his disheveled appearance and rude behavior, but that’s his trick! “You want people in power who don’t *want* to be in power.” Kate focuses on mission and business where people’s lives hang in the balance. What he wears, how he looks and when he sleeps are secondary to the main mission.
I really hope we get to see s2
I think his style is perfect for the narrative and was a refreshing change. The best part of the show is the relationship they all have with each other. It’s rare that I like all the characters in a series, but this one did.
